Trying to set up a fax on a XP home edition. I have loaded the software from the installation disc but my broadband internet provider can not give me a number so that I can issue a return Number for people to reply to. Any ideas??

One.
Get a phone line.
Fax uses phone lines, not the Internet.

go www.j2.com and sign up for a free incoming fax service. You will be
assigned a non-local number you can give to people as your fax number. Your
own personal telephone service won't be involved. Instead, when a person
sends you a fax to your new j2 service fax number, your fax will be
delivered to you by e-mail.
It's free, and it works great. try it out.
