were does windows xp home put the desktop backgrounds ,
what folder? so when i find a backgroung on the net i can
palce it there , to use when i go to change it.

Hi,
You need not save it in any particular folder. You can
click on control panel, open the display program and then
browse to the background tab. There you have a browse
button which will allow you to select the image file to
be used as the background.
