Would like to write direct to cd-rw ie:' save as' in Excell or Word. Also when the CD-Writer in XP copies files they are converted to 'read only' thus preventing an over wright and forcing a new track to be created on the CD-RW. Can anyone help with this s
ituation.
TIA

| However, this does not work, either.

Laurie,

Are you saying that you do not get the "Common Tasks" pane?

Not by following those instructions, no. In addition, one must also
kill the Folder view.

Michael,
I have InCD, and I cannot get it to work with XP. I've followed all the tech info I can find. If you format the disk with InCD to use it as a regular drive, XP's CD writer screws up the formatting on the disk. Nero and XP fight over who is controlling the
write process. Is there a way to completely disable the Roxio plugin? I would rather use Nero/InCD because I can do so much more with it, such as running unmannerd backups using batch files.

Jim;

I have InCD, it works fine for me.

Try this:
My Computer | Right click CD Drive | Properties |
Recording tab | UNCheck Enable CD recording on this drive |
Apply | OK

Hope this helps. Let us know.
