Even though my Outlook is set up with a password, every
time I open OutlookI have to click "send/receive" and it
again asks for my password.
How do I get Outlook to remember my password?

I have exactly the same problem. I have tried Tools > Accounts >
Preferences > Server and putting the password in there. I have also checked
the "Remember Password" box. When I close Outlook and reopen it the
Password has gone again
Please help

MVP Doug Knox has a section on his web site about this issue. The title
of the page is "Outlook Express keeps prompting you for password" but
applies to Outlook as well:

Both the following references give a solution to the problem
support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;264672

I am surprised that it is so obscure to do something that I would have
thought would have a simple solution
