Good Day Adam,
You can Right-Click on the start button and then click on
Properties. This will bring up the Taskbar and Start menu
Properties. You can choose to go to Classic view of the
Start menu, which changes the Start menu to look like
previous versions of the Start menu.
You can also choose to Customize the Start menu. If you
leave the Start Menu as the XP Start menu and click on
Customize, there will be an option for Programs. You can
choose to clear the list and change the number of
programs that will list. This can be changed to zero.
