I just purchased a Dell with windows xp. I want to move my
files from the old computer with windows 95 to the new
computer by directly connecting the two with a serial or
parallel port cable. Do you know what the procedures are
to do that?

Thanks,

Christina

It's called Direct Cable Connection. Check your manuals.

Another option would be to temporarily move your old hard drive to the new
PC and copy files over, then remove it again. Only recommended if you are
experienced with hardware or if you know someone who can do this.
