Hello,
Was helping someone with the set-up/connection of PROTEVA computer.
While going through the set-up with Windows XP Home, the question came up if
the computer will/is connected for Internet Windows XP Home registration.
Had answered yes, but now the party decided not to have Internet connection
for a while.
Question:
Windows XP Home specified that registration must be done within 16 days
as this will not be an Internet registration, please advise what file may
have to be disabled to re set-up Windows XP Home again and obtaining the
Telephone number enable registration via call in phone.

Select the option to "activate by telephone".

You do not need to disable anything. Go to
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Activate Windows
There will be an Activate on the internet now, to use if you have an
internet connection running, or an alternative of activate by telephone.
that will give you a toll free number to call, and swap one long number
presented on screen for another to type in

Unable to see the other party with the XP home,

Snowstorm is over, was able to register XP over the phone.
