Background

When hiding desktop icons (Windows XP Pro) -> (right click:
Desktop/Arrange Icons by/uncheck Show Desktop Icons) the
wallpaper disappears to. How do I resolve this problem?

Do you currently have your wallpaper setup as a web item (Display>
Desktop> Customize Desktop)?

Try using Display> Desktop and selecting an image file instead.
