While installing XP Pro everything went well except I got a message that the
file wbdbase.deu could not be loaded despite repeated attempts, so I took
the option of skipping it. The installation process continued and XP booted
up OK. So what is this file ( what is it used for)? I've never come across
the .deu extension before. I assume I will have problems down the road due
to the missing file, but what kind? What should I do?
Thx,
Al

German language support file. Unless you plan on adding it, I wouldn't be
concerned. If you do, you can always expand it down the line. You will find
it on the CD under the I386 folder. To expand the file, start/run msconfig
and hit the "expand file" button.
