Eliminating balloons

I just upgraded Win ME to Win XP Home. The new OS keeps putting up a ballon
inviting me to tour WinXP. How can I eliminate the balloons?

Start the tour, then cancel it. You should not be prompted again.

Hi Thorsten

I know this is the .newusers NG, but, the Tour can be disabled with the =
following edit to the Registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Applets\Tour

set the RunCount value to 0 (zero)

The Tour can't be uninstalled, only disabled, which I have just posted.
