View Full Version : Problem with Links

Something weird just started happening on my system (XP Pro). When I click
on a link, be it in an e-mail or on a webpage, IE6 shows itself on my
taskbar, but the page never opens. When I bring up the page in IE, it is
blank, and the link does not appear in the address bar.
This just started yesterday. I did not install anything new, and have no
idea what is going on. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

Hi,

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 urlmon.dll. Then go to:
IE/Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Reset Web Settings.

Hyperlinks not opening:

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 actxprxy.dll and then repeat the
process for regsvr32 shdocvw.dll.

Check your settings here:

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Scroll down to
URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol/Advanced/Edit.

Under Application used to perform action it should read:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome
