I am trying to create a user profile on Windows XP
professional. The problem I have is I have been using
the default administrator profile since I got the
computer over a year ago. I am trying to make another
profile but when I do the administrator profile disapears
from the log on screen. I can use system restore to get
it back however it doesn't solve the problem of making
new profiles for multiple users. Is there a way to keep
the default administrator profile available while making
additional user profiles? Thank you in advance for you
help.

the built-in Administrator account is designed to be hidden by default when
a new account is set up. I think the only way round this is to use Tweakui.

BUT you should NOT use the built-in Administrator account for day-to-day
use. it is your ONLY access route to your PC (other than a repair install of
XP) should your normal log-in go belly up. If the Administrator log-in goes
belly up, and it is your ONLY log-in, then you will have to do a repair
install.

Create another User account, give it Admin rights for day-to-day use, and
copy your existing admin settings to it.
