help & support, refusing to start on new inst xp home

as subject suggests, i cant get h7s to start, from
wherever i try, eg desktop menu, control panel etc.
suspect registry corruption although i never tinker with
this.
Had xp on computer around 4 weeks, clean install. any
suggestions gratefully recieved.thanks

Click Start - Run
In the run line type (or copy/paste) the following and press enter:
cmd /c start /w %windir%\pchealth\helpctr\helpsvc /install /svchost netsvcs
/regserver

You will see a command window (DOS box) come up for a few minutes. After it
goes away try again to launch HSC via the Start - Help and Support
