defragmentation needs 15% free space to run - it's
good idea to get in habit of 'a routine of running'
ie
1/
first - delete temp files and cookies - ie
go start/control panel/network and internet connections/
go internet options/general - tab/
go temporary internet files - section/
go delete files/go delete cookies/go ok/go apply/
note
you can repeat it til you 'clear them out' and
2/
then
use the 'other system tools provided' - ie
go start/right click - my computer/open/
go right click - local hdd/properties/tools/
and use these tools - ie
a/
go chkdsk.exe/checkdisk/-fixes disk errors/flaws
b/
then
go defrag/reorganizes files
and
this should keep your disk clean and org'd
and take it fr there

hth God Bless hutch

Hutch, I'm not the original poster, but I wouldn't find this area on
my machine given those directions since My Computer isn't in the
right-click start menu, It's likely better to go into Windows Explorer
(Windows key E), then right-click the C or primary drive.
