Currently have Win95/Win98SE upgrade. Can I use the XP
Upgrade or do I have to get a full version of XP?

There is a common misapprehension that an "upgrade" version of an OS is not
in fact a full version of that OS. This is not true. An "upgrade" version of
W98 in fact contains the full OS so yes, you only need the "Upgrade" version
of Windows XP.

Thanks to everyone for the info.

Athlon 950
512mg RAM
MSI K7T mb

Over the years I've upgraed everything except the OS. I
was told at CompUSA that I had to buy a full version of
XP, not just the upgrade.

The above machine will be my wife's "web' browser, I'm
upgrading to a faster process/mb.

Thanks again.

Your question has been answered, but I want to give you some words of
caution - if your computer was originally designed to run Win95, it may
not be beefy enough to run WinXP and/or there may not be drivers
available for the hardware (or the hardware might be incompatible). Do
yourself a favor and download the MS Upgrade Advisor before running out
and buying a new operating system. It's free and you can get it here:
