I just installed the update (?) and NOW MY PC IS SLOWER
than my old 286.

What's going on???

I would advise anyone wanting to install this update to
MAKE A RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING THE XP SP-1 UPDATE
in case the update becomes a retrograde on their PC.

BE CAREFUL!

I have Windows XP SP1 too and my system is working faster than ever!

I do agree though, my computer was pretty sluggish for the first while, but
after a few weeks it was fast again.

Just a note-my system:
AMD Athlon 1.20 GHz
512 MB SDRAM
32 MB nVidia TNT2

Just give it a few weeks and see what happens

Possibly a known problem with some installations of SP1. See if this
