I'm a novice to begin with.
After sending a document to others in email from publisher, the recipients are unable to read the mail.
Does the document need to be changed somehow as most people I know don't have the publisher prog.
I recently purchased this prog. specifically to send out a newsletter but now I find that it may have been a waste of money.
Or it is my inability in operating the prog.
Please help!

First, understand that Publisher isn't actually sending anything. Outlook
or Outlook Express (whichever is your default mail program) is doing the
sending. Publisher just gives you a way from within Publisher to do it.

Second, anyone that you send a Publisher document to must have Publisher to
be able to open the file and see it. This is how all software works. If I
send you a graphic of something in .jpg format, you must have software that
knows how to open and read .jpg files.

You may want to try saving your file using the "Save As..." feature and
changing the file type to HTML (web page) or Word 2000 or something that the
recipients of the file are more likely to have.

Neither Publisher nor any other application was specifically designed for
what you are trying to do which is to e-mail a fully formatted newsletter
since this requires all users to have the same application in order to read
the newsletter. Publisher was designed for creating newsletters that you
would print and mail (snail mail-USPS as opposed to e-mail).

That doesn't mean it can't be done. As has been pointed out in this thread,
you might try saving the file as an HTML file type. Understand, however,
that many users have HTML turned off in their e-mail client for security
reasons. Some mailing lists use the following approach. They have
subscribers tell them which they want, text or HTML then they send they set
that subscriber to receive what they have requested. Also, you may have to
make formatting adjustments to accommodate HTML as well as text.

We are not the last word on this, you might get better information on a
Publisher board. Go to the following website, scroll the list on the left
to Publisher, select the appropriate group and try your post there:
