My Windows XP Home won't let me take an immage from the
web and put into Paint. Do I need to buy extra sofware or
is there as way to do it with what I already have?

This is how I do it. To get a print of the screen - open the web page on
the screen, then -

1. Hit the 'Print Screen' button.
2. Open the 'MSPAINT' program
3. Select the 'EDIT'
4. Click on the 'Paste'

Now you should be able to edit the screen picture on the mspaint editor and
save as you wish
either a .BMP or a .JPG or .JIF file.
Hope this helps you.

If you right click an image on a webpage you can often select "Save picture
as" and download it to your drive. Sometimes you cannot do this if the web
designer has blocked this. A nice freeware add-on is called PrintKey
http://www.webtree.ca/newlife/printkey_info.htm Once installed press the Prt
Scr key on your keyboard. then select the Rectangle option on the PrintKey
program and you can capture any portion of your screen.

The image will be in your temp folder, right-click it, copy and paste into Paint.
