I bought WinXP OEM (on CD) with a new computer, but the
sticker with the product key somehow got lost. Can I send
the CD back for replacement, or will I have to buy a new
license (or switch to Linux)?

Yout better off calling your Supplier for a replacement code. If they are
not able to, they will point you in the right direction.

If Windows is still on your computer, there is a small program that will find the
product code for you, it is the first item here

Download and install a program called AIDA32 it will not only give you
the product key, but shed-loads of other info about your system.
