date reminder that won't go away but i want it to!

i have a pop up taht looks like i tried to open up a web
page that doesn't work anymore ("this page can not be
displayed....")message. There is a blue bar at the top
which states "Reminder Thursday july 31 7:43 am" or
whatever time/date it is. I tried to click on it and
have it deleted, but there are no options to open the box
up at all!

I have found that if I CTL, Alt, Del I can delete this
annoying thing from the computer - for that session.

Is there anything to do to get rid of it completely?

How did you resolve this problem? I also have the date reminder that won't go away...and it's annoying. It appears to be the "Page Cannot Be Displayed" message, but I cannot close it or remove the reminder which reappears each time I open IE. Please assist if possible.
