Can't find old mail after upgrade

After I upgraded to Windows XP I couldn't find my e-mail
from the previous version of Outlook Express. Some of my
rules were imported (but not all). When I ask OE to
import messages it asks me where they are, but I have no
idea what happened to them.
Can someone help?

Do a search for *.dbx files.And import from there.
