I need a place to go to learn and understand the real
BASICS of CD writing, copying, etc. For example, I try
to delete data from a CD i've written so I can use it
again....this doesn't seem to work. I tried to erase the
data and was told it is not a rewritable CD. I'm using
Philips CD-R80 disks are they not rewritable?

I know this is real basic stuff....where can I get some
education on CD's ion general?

A CDR is recordable - but not rewritable. Rewritable disks are
designated as CDRW.
