video not playing

Hi, I'm having a problem playing a particular divx file.
media player displays a msg saying "windows media player
encountered an unknown error". when i tried copying
the .avi file from the cd to my disk, it says "cannot
copy, icorrect parameters" or some such. it looks like a
normal avi file to me. i dont have any other problmes
with playing video. i'm using windows XP, with WMP 9 for
XP. help! thanks..

Do you have the divx player and codecs?

Are you shure the file is not corrupt?
