Hello,

I like the windows XP theme, but is there a way to make the task bar smaller
(other than locking it) ? Also there are lots of toolbars that are big,
start button is huge... I really want to make the most of my screen, so I
want to make things a bit smaller than they are... any tips?

If this doesn't work, I will have to revert back to classic mode.. but I
like the color for the white-colored background for popup menus..

Thanks

You can re-set the screen resolution by r-clicking the desktop and choosing
properties. On the settings you will find a "slider". Move it to the right
to change to a higher resolution. You may have to adjust your monitor
settings to fill the screen.

hehehe... you're talking to me like I'm a newbie.. I have my resolution at
1024x768.

Thanks though...

I read somewhere that one can change the Windows XP task bar to the old
classic mode. How can that be done?

Thanks

I think I found it! Go to Display Properties, Appearance tab, Advanced
button, then click on the active title bar and set the size smaller (you may
have to adjust the font size to let it size smaller). This should affect
the Start button and task bar as well.

Hope that helps!

Seems to me like a "newbie" question.

It doesn't affect the start button and task bar.

Thats right... I played with that and caption button to minimize the
