I'm having a problem with an HP720 printer installed on the Lpt1 port of an
XP Pro computer that is a member of a domain. Every time the computer is
restarted, the printer won't print. The only way to get it to print is to
uninstall, then re-install the Lpt1 port. Re-installing the printer does'nt
work. After the port is re-installed, it prints fine until the computer is
re-booted. Then have to remove/add Lpt1 port again. There are also two other
(network) printers (tcp/ip and network shared) installed, with no problems,
only local printer won't print.

CAN ANYONE RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM??
THANKS

try setting the port to use any interupt assigned to it.
also make sure in the bios that it is not set to automatic.
