I would like to know which messenger of the two takes
less system resources and internet bandwidth. Please note
that I am concerned of two things, internet bandwidth &
system resources. In addition, how much roughly does each
one take in KB/s up/down?
Thanks a lot!

Greetings Ahmed,
I don't have any specific numbers for you but numerically speaking, Windows Messenger uses
less bandwidth and resources.

Hi Ahmed,
I think you'd find they're the same, the only exception being if a TabletPC was being used as
Windows Messenger 5 can receive and send "digital ink", which would use up slightly more
bandwidth then pure text. Windows Messenger 5 takes up slightly more resources then 4.x, but
compared to MSN Messenger, it's negligible.
