View Full Version : Annoying service messages
Terry

When e-mailing links from IE, the new mail message opens up. In the Subject
box is the word, "Emailing:" In the message body are the words: "Your files
are attached & ready to send with this message."
Having used Outlook and Outlook Express for years, I already know that. How
do I re-jig my XP Home so that it doesn't display those messages any longer?
I'm tired of editing the messages from my mailings.
All contributions gratefully received.

Hi Terry,
Use this workaround: My #1 favorite. :o)
Email Page - IE (right click) w/ Clickable Link (Line 60)

I downloaded and clicked on the icons placed on my desktop but nothing
happened. At least, if it did, nothing I saw. The annoying messages are
still popping up in my new mail messages.
Any more ideas? Or perhaps explain what I may have done wrong with your last
instructions.
TIA,
Terry

Execute the vb script inside of the extracted folder then right click
anywhere inside of IE.

Did that. Nothing happened. Got the usual right click menu options when I
click inside IE. Still get the message in the body of outgoing mail. Next
idea?

Terry,
This works. You are evidently not doing it properly. Good luck.
