I have created a new user account for the rest of my
family to use. My problem is that it is useless as a
limited account. It will only run properly if it is set
as an admin account.

I only want to keep them off the hard drives and away
from control panel and the like.

When using the new account I get an error that says:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate
it in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications support team for more
information.

I get that by clicking on any of the folders or the
Internet on the desktop.
The account use to work fine, then it started having
this problem so I deleted it and made a new one. I
don't really want them having full access to the
computer, but I want them to be able to use the Internet
and most programs.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Steven

Try make them a Power User via 'control userpasswords2'
and make them a 'Standard User' instead of a limited user.
