View Full Version : organising folders

Usually my folders are organised alphabetically but when I try to save a
document (of any kind), when the "my docs" opens a default, they don't seem
to be in any sort of order. It may seem only a minor but it's amazing how
annoying it can be when you're in a rush.! I can't find any way to
reorganise them according to name. (In explorer they are already organised
according to name - it's only in the "save as" window.) OS is XP
Any ideas?

If you click on the "view menu" icon when you have the "save as" dialog open
and select "details". The name column should had a small "up arrow" in it.
If not click on it until it does, that will organise the files by name
order.

The views menu shows "small icons", "details" etc but still doesn't change
the order in which they are organised.

When you select the detail option the files are listed in columns. In that
view look at the top of the name column (where it says name) there should be
a ^ sign, click top of the name column (where it says name) until that ^
appears. Your files should now be in name order.
