Explorer doesn't display file Type

When exploring my files in My Documents I can't get the file type to
display. I made sure that type is checked in View/ Choose Details, but is
just doesn't work.

Can someone help me?

Try Folder Options> View and uncheck the box to hide known file
extensions.
