I am trying to put a carriage return in the LegalNoticeText string in the
registry on a Windows XP system.
I've tried using the NT and 2000 steps of adding 0D00 and 0A00 in binary,
but neither of these work.
I would like to be able to write paragraphs in the registry string with a
double carriage return between each paragraph. Is there any way to get
carriage returns in this string??

Workaround:
For XP Professional, you could use GPEDIT to accomplish this.
Local Computer Policy/Computer Configuration/Windows Settings/Security =
Settings/Local Policies/Security Options. =20
Interactive logon: Message text for users attempting to log on and =
Interactive logon: Message title for users attempting to log on.

I want to deploy the message onto approx 300 machines which are running XP
and W2K but we are not running Active Directory and so cannot use a GPO.
Is there any other way apart from going round every PC?
