DVD Encoder Issue

Hi...

Can anyone give me some advice?...

I have MS XP Home, and I used to be able to play DVDs on
my laptop. I recently got a DVD that asked me to
install "PCFriendly" software, which I did. Since then,
I have been getting encoder errors regardless of which
DVD I try using. I don't want to have to pay $40 just to
re-install something that I paid for already...

Any suggestions would be great...

Reinstall your DVD decoder software... either PowerDVD or WinDVD, whichever
came with your PC.
