OK here goes.... I have WindowsXp home. When it was in
stalled everything worked but my scanner. So I purchased
a new HPpsc1210 All in one(scanner and printer) I can NOT
get it to install! When I first try to install it says I
have no usb ports. When I uninstal the Usb ports then
serch for them the computer finds them then the install
starts but it gets as far as plugging them in and nothing
happens!! I am pulling my hair out! I called HP and the
guy there was pulling his hair out to. Checked BIOS
working fine. So he said it must be a windows xp problem
the scanner I had was xp compatable and so it this new
one. I hope someone can help me here. It would be greatly
appreciated.Thanks so much!

There is a driver on the HP site with a time stamp of November 2003, maybe newer than
what shipped with your printer. Huge download..
There are Support documents addressing the USB issue as well.
