windows dosen't detect modem

I can't get windows xp to detect my modem, I'm using DSL for my internet but
need my modem for faxing. Any help? Thanks..

Try going to the manufacturers' site to see if there are XP drivers
available for your modem. If not, you may have to sink $20 into a new modem
that is XP compatible.
