Daily I receive this message, "Generic Host Process for
Win 32 Services". Do you want to send a report to
Microsoft.
Does anyone know what is causing this error and how to
rectify?
thanks,

Something seem to fail so that an error report is created. You can
turn off this in the Control Panel > System > Advanced > Error
reporting, but this will not solve the underlying problem.

Hi Steven,
I've heard 2 causes of this, the first is a problem with a HP Printer driver
and is resolved with the following fix:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q821690
The other (and this is just unofficial internet speculation...) is that it's
caused by a virus, though what virus I know not.
Nonetheless, you should update your computer with all relevant fixes from
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp (Windows Update) and
ideally, scan your computer with a virus checking tool.
