I am getting a new hard drive. The problem is I converted
my file system to NTFS after XP was installed on my old
drive. Now I can't uninstall XP from my old drive to load
it on my new drive. How can I resolve this issue?

Have you tried a Google search for "uninstalling xp"? You may have to
format the old drive, wiping all data from the drive in the process, and
then installing XP on your new drive. A hassle, I agree, but you most
likely have all your data backed up anyway, so why not?

Don,
If the system is running properly, you could clone the old drive to the new
one using imaging software. Consult the imaging software for procedure info
or post back here.
If you plan on keeping the old drive for extra storage.
1. Disconnect the cable from the old hard drive leaving it in the computer.
2. Configure the and new hard drive as the primary master and install and
connect the cable to the primary master position.
3. Clean install XP to new HD. See the link below for steps to clean
install.
4. Shut down and configure the jumpers and cable on the old drive to primary
slave, secondary master, or secondary slave depending on your hard ware.
5. Reboot and format the old drive from Computer Management> Disk
Management.
