View Full Version : desktop shortcut menu

I am attempting to return by desktop shortcut menu to the
original settings, but cannot do so; i.e.--at the right
click the shortcut menu appears. Normally, the first
choice on the menu (the top-most choice, usually bolded)
is "OPEN". I did some desktop cleanup, etc. and now my
shortcut menu has "SEARCH" as the fist choice, so I can no
longer click and open a folder--I must ALWAYS use the
right-click drop down shortcut menu.

I want to again be able to left click and open the folder
and not have to right click to open the shortcut menu and
then choose "OPEN", but I am having no luck figuring out
how do do this. I have gone into the Control Panel, folder
options, etc., but cannot find the area in which this can
be changed.

Can anyone help?
