Internet Time Synchronization Error

Hello,

I get the following message when I click on the Update Now button in
the Internet Time tab of the Date and Time Properties window when I am
connected to the Internet:

"An error occurred getting the status of the last synchronization. A
security package specific error occurred."

Please advise.

Hi,
Try this:-
1.Start->Run cmd.exe
2. net stop w32time
3. w32tm.exe /unregister
4. w32tm.exe /register
5. net start w32time

I was able to correct this problem by uninstalling my VPN client
software.

Reinstalling the software caused the problem to come back.

I have encountered one other WinXP user with the same problem. He
also has VPN client software (from a different manufacturer)
installed.
