I have a Win98 Master CD. I have WinXP-Home upgrade CD.
I want to rebuild my OS completely. The BIOS checks CD
and floppy before it tries to boot from the HD. When I
put the CD in, the system boots as normal from the HD -
it does not try to boot from the CD as it should.
How can I force the system to boot from the CD and
reformat the HD and reinstall XP?

You need to change the boot order in you BIOS to ensure that the CD is the
first Boot device.
(see your PC/BIOS manual for how to do this)
Then reboot with the CD in the drive and watch the screen for the "Press a
key to boot from CD" prompt
Then press a key and your PC will boot from the CD and setup will continue

Hi,
You need to enter the system BIOS and change the boot order so that the =
CD drive is recognized first.
