Does this include Windows 2000? I have an older one that worked fine in
Win2K Pro, but when I copied the .scr file to my system32 folder, it doesn't
show up in the list of available ss in the screensaver tab at all. I have
moved it to numerous places, including the windows folders, but nothing
makes it show up. However, if I r/click on the .scr file and test or
configure it, it works fine. There was no install file, btw, just the .scr
and a help file.

What else needs to be done to make it appear in the SS list? IF it will, of
course.

Thanks!

A. Due to the new graphical user interface design of Windows XP,
Windows 95/98 themes or screensavers are not compatible.

You may wish to consider purchasing Plus! for Windows XP:

| Hi All,
|
| My husband and I very recently upgraded from ME to XP-Pro (went flawlessly
| too!) and I am very happy with it, really fast and stable. MY husband is
| decent with PCs, so he knew how to make sure how things would be. Anyway,
| sorry for the side-track;
|
| My husband and I cannot figure why we cannot use the screensavers and
themes
| from ME. I really liked the themes so much with all the colors, cursors
etc.
| And the screensavers were cool too, and we thought they would migrate over
| with the XP upgrade?
|
| Is there a way to migrate them into XP completely, sounds, cursors,
| everything, safely? I don't want to mess this up, and we converted
| everything to NTFS and (obviously) got rid of the ME folder, and all works
| great..
|
| Thanks now for any advice :-),
|
