background question

I've been downloading some new backgrounds and dropping
them into my web/wallpaper folder. I go to find them in
the list of backgrounds, and all I see are the lame
pattern backgrounds that come stock, AND the bliss
background. They're jpgs, but there were a bunch of jpgs
already in the folder (tulips, waves, etc). None of
those show up as options either. When I browse, I can
find the file, but it won't let me use it. I know I can
set it as the bg from IE, but I'd like to get them into
the actual list. How can I make it so it displays the
JPGs as options?

What do you mean it won't let you use it? Does it come up with any kind of
message? What happens when you try to select it?
