View Full Version : Nero Upgrade & XP

I have downloaded Nero 5.5.10.54 as suggested but I find that when I click
on Help there appears to be no Help files. I did not have the original Nero
5 installed when I did the upgrade as technical support at Nero told me I
didn't have to have the original installed just to download the new version
and put in my original serial number which I did.

The help files are not included in the download version, just the retail
package. You can download a PDF from Nero that has all the instructions.

The updates are actually full stand-alone installs. If you have a legitimate
"key", they will run by themselves, i.e., no existing install. I run it that
way.

Thanks Jax, I'm tearing my hair out at the moment as you can probably tell
with my posts. What should have been the best xmas present I've had is
turning out to be a nightmare.

Thanks Jax. My main problem is now with the external drive (key) that I have
been using to move data from my desktop to my laptop. Desktop has W98
laptop XP. Works fine on desktop but every time I install it on laptop
through USB port and then take it out it crashes my laptop after which my
laptop restarts itself. It is really getting to me now.
