View Full Version : what's wrong?

I'm trying to add a connection to my other domain, and no matter what I type
in Network Places, it reads and sets it up as a connection on my own
computer. I type http://ruralcpr.com, and it comes out \\ruralcpr.com.
Naturally, I can't connect this way.

What's wrong and how do I fix it?

I don't believe you can connect to two domains at the same time. Use a
third-party network switcher like NetSwitcher or the one from
Globesoft.

How about one after the other? Is that a no-no too?

I believe the problem is that your computer cannot be a member of more
than one domain. Since you'd have to go into the settings and join the
new domain every time you wanted to make the change, I can't see how
that would be practical. Far easier to use a network switching program.
However, since I haven't tried to juggle domains or used network
switching programs, I can't speak from personal experience. You'll just
have to find out! You certainly can't hurt anything by trying.
