Whenever I go to Control Panel->Performance and
Maintenance->System->Hardware Tab->Device Manager,
a window pops up saying "MMC failed toinitialize because
it was installed incorrectly or because a portion of the
registry has become corrupted.Make sure the file
Mmcndmgr.dll is registered by running regsvr32%SystemRoot%
\System32\mmcndmgr.dll"
Trying to enter this from Start->Run does not help at all.
How can I fix this and gain access to my device manager
again?
PS. I do have RegVac and WinXPRescue should they be able
to help, also, I am running Win XP Home Edition.

An help will be much appreciated.
TIA,
Frankie.

Did registration succeed? You only really need
RUN
regsvr32 mmcndmgr.dll
(then enter)

You can also get to Device Manager via
RUN
devmgmt.msc
(enter)
