Sudden and frequent terminations

This is happening on my wife's computer, when she is on line chatting
to her friends. A window comes up warning her to save her work as the
system is shutting down and there is a second countdown counter. It
says this is because of NT Authority/system and there is an RPC
Service termination.

This has only started happening today, never had a problem before.


Any ideas?

Thanks, I suspected it was someone trying to get on the computer and
in the meantime installed zone alarm - and surprise surprise 19
attempts registered within a few minutes to gain access!

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!I am getting the exact same message. It did't occur this
moring but did about 2pm PDT. Ihave no idea what is going on since I thought
I was using xphome edition> I have a pentiumIII with 256 memory and a 30 gig
hard drive. The nswer cannot come too soon. I just hope this can be
delivered to you Elen
