I am getting a message saying my computer must re-start,
due to rpc service was terminated, just got another one,
anyone know what it is or what I can do?

Read and follow the instructions in this article:

**** You need to make sure you have a FIREWALL enabled ****

Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: FIREWALL , and hit enter.
Click on the topic titled "Enable or Disable Internet Connection =
Firewall".
