I have Windows XP Professional and Windows Messenger 5
installed. My friend has Windows 98 and is trying to make
voice conferencing with me. What is the best Solution?
She can't install Windows Messenger on 98, only MSN
Messenger. Do I have to use MSN Messenger 6 too instead
of Windows Messenger 5? What is the best solution for
this situation?
Thanks!

Greetings Ahmed,
Voice functionality is completely compatible with every current version of Messenger that is
actually allowed to connect to the .NET Messenger network, and as such, it doesn't matter if
you're using Windows Messenger or MSN Messenger, nor does the version matter -- it will
simply just work (ignoring NATs/routers, firewalls, etc. problems). She'll just need to
install MSN Messenger:
http://messenger.msn.com/Download and you can continue using Windows Messenger 5.
