Hi,

I upgraded my Dell PC from Windows Me to XP. The update
worked with no problem and the system run much better!!.
However, I have a DOS app I want to keep using. The DOS
app run ok, but the display (which used to be full screen)
is now only 1/2 screen. Does anyone know how to get DOS
apps to run full screen in XP? On my shortcut it's set to
fullscreen.

Thanks

Jim Wharton

Since his Shortcut <Properties> specify <Full Screen>, why do you presume
<Alt+Enter> is enabled in the <Misc> tab?

Why would it be disabled? alt-enter works unless explicitly disabled.

Because quite a few DOS commercial apps are explicitly setup for Full-Screen
only, and Alt+Enter is purposefully disabled. Such apps run in text mode
but modify the standard VGA font to present a pseudo-graphics interface with
an arrow-style mouse cursor (instead of block). This scheme won't work in
an NTVDM window -- that's why!

There's way too many assumptions at present to know what's going on with the
OP. Until he responds, it's all guess work. There are work arounds
regardless.

Precisely. Thank you for acknowledging why you needed chastisement in the
first place!
