I've found that when I got to My Computer, the flashlight
symbol moves back & forth for a long time before my disk-
icons are displayed - and if I try to go to the Address
Bar, the "hourglass" symbol (indicating that the system is
searching/busy) just stays there, no response.

I had this problem before but forgot the solution -
anybody know what to do? This is causing me so much
frustration and time!!!

Hi Shane,

Start/run msconfig, go to the services tab and uncheck Windows Image
Acquisition. Click apply/ok and reboot. See if this helps.
