blast virus worm

does anyone know if i can simply restore the computer as
i only have had it for 1 week and i dont have all that
much on it. i was infected with the blaster worm. if i
restore the computer will the virus be gone and the
computer be unharmed?

Step #1

The first thing you should do is immediately enable Windows XP's =
built-in Firewall:

1. In Control Panel, double-click Networking and Internet Connections, =

then click Network Connections.
2. Right-click the connection on which you would like to enable ICF, and
then click Properties.
3. On the Advanced tab, click the box to select the option to Protect my
computer or network.

Step #2:
